I will be leaving Quest Consultants Inc. at the end of October, 1997 and going to work at MicroFirmware. Some of these links will probably no longer be valid since I will no longer be maintaining them.

Thermodynamics Demonstrations

Some of these will not work on some older browsers that have difficulty with long lists or with forms. All of these calculations use the Peng/Robinson equation of state. The calculations are based on predictions of vapor/liquid equilibrium. If the vapor/liquid equilibrium cannot exist for the mixture, temperature, and pressure that you select, then the answers may not be good. If components freeze or if components separate into more than one liquid phase or if polar chemicals are mixed with water, the answers are not likely to be good. The answers are usually execellent at high temperatures and low pressures.

Other stuff

Binary Coded Decimal addition and subtraction routines for large integers. There is also a hacked version of the old BSD factor program to test the bignum library. It prints prime factors of integers. These compile and run under Unix or Linux on Intel chips.
