Facility Siting Study

Siting Study Overpressure contours

Facility siting studies are most often used for regulatory compliance or to determine the appropriate location of buildings. The codes and guidelines referenced in siting studies include API RP 752 and 753, NFPA 59A, API 2510, and IP 9.

Our facility siting services often include Consequence Analysis studies (using CANARY by Quest) to determine the potential impacts to offsite areas, onsite buildings, or to specific areas within a facility. Siting studies can also involve risk-based methodologies such as Overpressure Exceedance Analysis (OEA).This powerful technique is useful when quantitatively evaluating the location of buildings for an existing or proposed site.
